All Men Are Created Equal – Episode 154
Do you believe that all men are created equal? If you are a Christian this truth has been ingrained into you from the beginning of your faith journey. In this episode, we will discuss the issues of our times and how we can combat hate with love.

What has happened to our world where people of dignity do what is wrong in with a sense of right? Yeah, I’m purposely being vague here because most of us can’t even agree on what is right and what is wrong. There is anger and division that has been sowed on our streets and the discord is taken to levels we have never seen in this country.
We know that the evil one is running scared and rampant and into the hearts and minds of those who are weak and can be manipulated. How strong are you? Can you be manipulated by evil – can you turn against those you love for the sake of being right? I see long time relationships crumbling. If I say that all people are created equal I can be seen as insensitive. But, it is the truth and we are – so where do we go from here?
All men are created equal – yet from the beginning of time we were at war with each other. First the rebellion of Adam and Eve against God’s perfect plan and then with their children, Cain and Able – brother against brother.
The Bible warns us of this in Matthew 10: 21-23
“Brothers will turn against their own brothers and hand them over to be killed. Fathers will hand over their own children to be killed. Children will fight against their own parents and will have them killed. Everyone will hate you because you follow me. But the one who remains faithful to the end will be saved. When you are treated badly in one city, go to another city. I promise you that you will not finish going to all the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes again.”
God did not decree that one set of people is over another set that is manmade. In the history of our world, we see that stronger men tend to rule over the weaker. There were pharaohs in Egypt, Kings, and Queens in Europe and royalty throughout.
We see that even in the United States of America men tried to rule over men in the form of slavery and prejudice. I grew up in an immigrant family and we were looked down upon at different times yet we were taught to hold our heads high, to work hard, and to look to God for all our help and answers. My family excelled and while not wealthy were very comfortable with their livings, although I did have uncles and cousins who reached millionaire status. Yet, prejudice will always be in the hearts of men who do not look to God for all their answers. Is it right? No, and we as a people should not stand for it, but it begins with the one person you have jurisdiction and authority over, and that is you. Begin with yourself.
Our constitution has the words in the Declaration of Independence. Let me read a section to you, you should read it yourself. “When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Friends, when we allowed the “powers that be” to push God out of the schools and out of the hearts of our children we get anarchy and a sense of despondency. What does the Bible say about equality?
Genesis 1:27 – So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; man and female he created him.
Romans 2:11 – For God shows no partiality.
Proverbs 22:2 – The rich and the poor meet together; the Lord is maker of them all.
Galatians 3:28 – There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Acts 10:34 – So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality…
and the final one that I love, James 2:8-9
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
That my friends is the key! The golden rule – love others as you want to be loved yourself. Sounds narcissistic but it is true. We should not show partiality but we must stand true to what the Scriptures say and that is there is not one that is better than others.
Truths:
- All men were created in the image of God. God doesn’t make junk.
- People who elevate themselves over others are called bullies.
- If you think you are better than others, try walking on water.
- Everyone is a child of God – even if they shun the creator, He still loves them.
- If you want to be blessed, try out giving God.
If we are joyful we will share joy. If we are hopeful we will share hope. You may be the only Christian people see and in that way our responsibility is huge! How do you respond, how do you act? Is it with kindness and love? We must pray for each other, for our world and for a sense of brotherhood and unity to come into our hearts and poor into others.
Let’s pray:
Dear Lord you didn’t create junk, we are created in your image and we love you. We praise you that you are a God of justice and we ask that justice reign over our world and our hearts. It starts with us Lord, so make us strong in order to combat the evil one in our world, we ask for love and joy that surpasses all understanding and I bring you these prayers and petitions: And, I pray this in Jesus’ Name.
