The Fulfillment of What is Spoken to Us from the Lord

The Fulfillment of What is Spoken to Us from the Lord with Authentic Faith and LifeThe Feast of the Visitation

Ever have one of those days when it could not possibly turn out good? Crisis, frustration, events leave you depleted, devastation, or dangerously disgusted? Radical, overwhelming, crazy, insane events take the breath out of you?

How does God show up in this? How does He confirm to you that He is REAL?

Mary and Elizabeth had radical, overwhelming, crazy, insane, likely initially traumatic events (like an angel appearing) happen to them! How did Mary’s visit, in haste, anchor them to know that God was working in their lives? How did their being together give them the ability to handle the unknown, unexpected, and uncertain? God breathed Grace into them, in their holding each other up, and gave them the ability to go forward that day.

Do things happen for a reason? Join Dr. Sue Ellen Nolan as she looks at the relationship between Mary and Elizabeth and their coming together in the midst of the spectacular miracles happening in their lives. How does God work in such things? How does He work in unreasonable things?

Ezekiel 37: 1-14

Oh My Soul

Casting Crowns

Oh, my soul

Oh, how you worry

Oh, how you’re weary, from fearing you lost control

This was the one thing, you didn’t see coming

And no one would blame you, though

If you cried in private

If you tried to hide it away, so no one knows

No one will see, if you stop believing

Here and now

You can be honest

I won’t try to promise that someday it all works out

‘Cause this is the valley

And even now, He is breathing on your dry bones

And there will be dancing

There will be beauty where beauty was ash and stone

This much I know

Arms Crossed Across My Chest

What does it mean when you see someone with crossed arms across their chest in the line to receive the Eucharist?Arms Crossed Across My Chest

Jesus meet us in the Mass in Mercy, no matter where we are in our lives. He meets us exactly where we’re at. And He loves us there.

What does it mean when you see someone with crossed arms across their chest in the line to receive the Eucharist?

St. Paul admonishes the Corinthians on receiving Jesus worthily. What did the early church in Scripture teach about the state of Grace? Its all there with St. Paul. St Paul received his marching orders in a direct infusion of grace, unlike the Apostles who were taught directly from Christ Himself, or their disciples who learned it from their actions and oral traditions as it was handed on. St Paul shows us how we are to imitate Christ in what He taught him and “do this in remembrance.”

Therefore there must be some definition of being outside of Grace and some definition of sin.

Join Dr. Sue Ellen Nolan as she experiences the mercy and love of God, in the Mass, through the ministers of Holy Communion, the priests and the deacons. Listen to two stories of the goodness within us and how that goodness images God, our creator, and how He created us for communion with Him. Find out how we are both the image and likeness of God and what that means for us today.

Christianity is founded on a loving God that doesn’t need us but simply loves us, for ourselves, no matter our imperfections. God is Love, and we are His.

The Last Supper: The Mass as Heaven on Earth – Part II

The Last Supper - The Mass as Heaven on Earth - Part 2God had a loving plan for us, to bring us back into communion with Him. He gave His Son for us, who, through obedience fulfilled His Father’s plan. The result of God’s Love and Jesus’ Obedience burst forth on the Cross, in the Holy Spirit. This Trinitarian relationship allows us to participate spiritually and physically, renewing this covenant, each day, every day, in the Holy Mass, the greatest act of worship the world has ever known!

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” John 6:51

The Last Supper: The Mass as Heaven on Earth – Part I

The Last Supper: The Mass as Heaven on Earth - Part 1 with Authentic Faith and LifeWe can participate in Heaven on earth!  The Hebrew people believed God became present to them in the Passover celebration-the memorial meal. We have God’s same presence with us as He renews His covenantal relationship with His people, on the altar, in the Mass!

“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.” Jeremiah 31:33

Spiritual Mother

I give Mary my heart for her to become my Spiritual Mother after dementia takes my mother on a terrible wonderful journey, with God showing up providentially and profoundly. Our Lady cannot be outdone in her loving Mother’s heart and gives me the greatest gift that  exists.

Angels Are Making a Way

Angels Are Making a WayGod cannot resist a Mother’s broken heart and sends His own Mother. In the first crisis as a mother I hear the whispering heart of Our Lady and the prophetic words of a Priest as God directs our lives-while permitting our free will.

After the initial provision of Our Lady God continues to show Himself as the source of strength and endurance when a near death crisis almost takes the life of my first born son. God gave me evidence of His providence; and that was everything.

With the support of our Christian community and many prayers He came through and proved He is my Father on Whom I can rely…

The Mountain Comes To Me

Podcast #3

God becomes real in a prophetic revelation from Our Lady of Medjugorje in an undeniable way. After struggling with infertility a simple, joyous message showed me how Our Lady works to make her Son real to us. Three times, she spoke to me, at particular times of need only to bring forward God’s plan in my life. She pointed the way. Then she stepped back. This was the first of the three. And in an unquestionable way. Many people experienced this miracle along side of me and the story of my daughter is still being told…

The Mountain comes to me

God became real to me like never before and slowly showed Himself to me more and more powerfully; as my Father, as my Spouse, and as my internal anchor through many trials and sufferings. I am only truly alive when He is real and when He is real I am fully alive.

“The Glory of God is man fully alive!” -St. Irenaeus

Wedding Feast of Cana

WEDDING FEAST OF CANAWedding Feast of Cana with Sue Ellen Nolan

“The First of His Signs; Believe in Him”
In this podcast we are at the Wedding of Cana. Jesus is called out into ministry, by the prompting of His mother to step into His identity as the Savior of the world and manifest His glory in order that the disciples may believe (John 2:11). Her heart will be pierced in her suffering, but the greater good intended by the greatest event in human history will come into fullness. Her fiat assured her participation the bringing of His kingdom and her willingness to suffer with humility and dignity in God’s plan of Salvation.
These witnesses are present as He reveals this abundant miracle of water into wine in at a wedding. Jesus demonstrates this Sacrament as a vessel for abundant wine overflowing with the graces that are available from it. Those who were there came to believe. What does it take for us to believe? What will it take for us to assent to “doing whatever He tells us?”

Spiritual Poverty

spiritual povertyWhat Is Spiritual Poverty? with Dr. Sue Ellen Nolan

The need for God that nothing else can answer. St Augustine says “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”
This spiritual poverty was answered for me by our Lady bringing me to her Son. In Him I have all that I need. This was the beginning of Jesus revealing Himself to me as my Spouse. No matter what was happening in my life, He was there for me to share the depth of my soul.
This came to me at a moment of surrender. The scripture became a theme for my life.

Deuteronomy 30:15-20 – New International Version (NIV)

See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, 18 I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.
19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life

Meet Dr. Sue Ellen Nolan from Authentic Faith and Life

Dr. Sue Ellen NolanIntroducing Dr. Sue Ellen Nolan and the Authentic Faith and Life Podcast!

From a small town village in northern Michigan’s Upper Peninsula into Northern Ontario and down to South Florida, God has had a plan for my life and a unique journey He meant for me.  Just as He has for you! His enduring love was the one constant thing-I felt it in the love of my wonderful mother and being in my large family; and with my first born child while he was in the womb. And came together in the basement of a church hearing the Scripture “God is Love”!

God always has a plan in mind for us and often answers our prayers even before we speak them out loud, just as He answered Adam, in his solitude, by giving him Eve! God showed up often in my life the more I opened up to Him. He began to draw me into an undeniable relationship with Him. Then He began to equip me for the mission He had in mind for me. God works like this for all of us! We just have to turn toward Him. He cannot resist us. He loves us so much and will show up in undeniable ways!
