Meet Keith Williams

Andrew interviews Keith Williams on this week's Episode of Big Dream Podcast!Keith Williams was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida. As a child, Williams attended Evangelical Christian School from kindergarten to the eighth grade. Keith also attended Bishop Verot High School. He played football for the Dunbar Little League, for the Fort Myers Rebels, and for the North Fort Myers Raiders (Knights). After high school he signed to play football with the University of Memphis and also at USF in Tampa. He is a graduate of Hodges University in 2017. Keith Williams spent 6 years coaching for the Cypress Lake Hornets and 3 seasons coaching football at Bishop Verot High School and Lehigh Senior High School. Currently, William is a school in Tampa, Florida.

Growing up, Keith Williams shared his life with his older brother Warren William. His brother played on the 1983 and 1987 National Championship Team at the University of Miami and played 6 years in the NFL. His brother was also part of the Dunbar Youth Basketball Association under coach Ernie Brown. Warren William played along side Scott Dobins, who went to play at Purdue. He also played with Greg Spires, who played with the New England Patriots (1998-2000), Cleveland Browns (2001), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2002-2007), and Oakland Raiders (2008). Keith Williams was the number one rusher as a “full back” in the state of Florida. When William is not teaching, he is the owner of Rosalee Gourmet Barbecue Sauce. “A Grill Mans Best friend”, that Fie-Fie sauce!!

Interview with Rika Lashawn, founder of The WOW Club

Reka Lashawn is a devoted mother of seven, a mentor, a teacher and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida by her mother who was sixteen at the time. Reka continued the cycle and gave birth to her first child at the age of sixteen. Reka is the founder of a local mentoring group called “The Wow Club”. The W.O.W Club is dedicated to help teenage women. The acronym W.O.W stands for “ Women of Worth”.

Reka holds an Associate of Science in Nursing from Edison State College. After graduation, Reka continued her education and achieved her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University. From then on she enrolled into South University to obtain her Masters Degree. As of right now, she is enrolled in South University in pursuit of her doctorates degree. Reka Lashawn is a clinical instructor in The Registered Nursing Program at a local state college. Aside from working and studying as a nurse, she is a sports mom to two of her awesome young athletes.

Who Is Andrew Layton?

Meet Andrew Layton, host of the new podcast Big Dreams Podcast #sports #podcast #ucpn

Join your host, Andrew Layton as he talks about the Big Dreams Podcast – what you will hear on this show and his hope to inspire all the athletes out there to dream big!

Andrew is a personal trainer, former professional athlete, and currently the Head Football Coach at Canterbury High School in Ft. Myers.

Andrew is determined to help at-risk kids just as he was at one time, now he encourages athletes to stay on a better path, and avoid the cycle of despair that he fell into. He saw the affects on the lives of other young men and women who grew up in similar communities, including his late mom.

Andrew was a star football player at Estero High School and he entered Georgia Military College. His mom died during his first year in 2000. He later attended Appalachian State University in North Carolina. Although a pulled hamstring barred him from the NFL draft, he started a professional football career in the Arena Football League, playing for the Greensboro Prowlers.

Andrew was recruited by the first-string Dallas Desperados and elated to be making money doing what he loved. Now he shares his story and insider tips and advice to all of you athletes who want to Dream Big on his Big Dreams Podcast! Join Andrew Layton weekly.
