At the first Lord’s supper, Jesus and his disciples ate a meal, sang Psalms, read scripture and prayed. He took the bread and wine and gave them new meaning as His Body and Blood. He gave us the gift of Himself for He is truly alive, body, blood, soul, and divinity in the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist.
