Depend On God ~ Episode 131
They will know us by our love and by our fruit, but if we do not depend on God how will we show others the love of Christ? Are you ready to step out of your comfort zone and depend on the Almighty?

The last podcast was on trust in God and how we often say we trust Him but then we take it back and we stress and deal with things in a way that is harmful to us. We let go and let God and then let the world crash down upon us with a to-do list that is longer than the longest highway. Those lists and those thoughts can keep us up at night and keep us in bondage. Today I want to share some ways to overcome this and truly depend on God.
When I think of those with great faith I think of the martyrs of the past or those who died or were persecuted for their belief in God. They cared so much that they would rather die than deny God. This is the opposite of what we see today and in our world, so many times all we want to do is focus on the negative or overreact to every little thing so that it gets blown out of proportion. how did we get in this state of anger or division?
I believe much of it has to do with taking our eyes off of God. If we are Jesus to our brothers and sisters, as you can imagine the world we live in would look so much different and obviously so much better. We could be joyful and help as the Lord would have us help. Instead, we put our heads down, try to avoid conflict and live our lives in isolation with walls and yards dividing us from our fellow man. Is that what God wants of us? I doubt that very much.
If we are honest our dependency is on ourselves and our abilities. Why ask God when we are capable? We discussed this in the last episode. When I talk bout depending on God I’m focusing on the outcome and the joy that belief and faith bring into the soul. How can you be in a state of joy when you are worried about all of the gloom and doom that people are shouting about on national television. Even the local news is enough to cause us to retreat. That is why a focus and dependency on God is important.
Do you depend on God to:
- Provide for your needs?
- Mathew 6:21
- Romans 8:28
- Answer our prayers?
- Our way or God’s way?
- Isaiah 55:8-9
- Take away your worry?
- Proverbs 20
- Proverbs 20:24-26
- Provide for the hope of everlasting life
- John 6:38-40
- Romans 8: 1-2:
Hope everlasting life:
What is the hope? The hope is ultimately everlasting life but the dream is a life well lead, one without regrets because in Christ there is no condemnation when you repent and ask for forgiveness!
Let’s Pray!
Dear Jesus, we love you and we know that when we depend on You my God you make crooked lines straight, you take our hand and are truly our Father. You lead us as any good father would do and protect us from what really could happen. You help us out of confusion and we praise you and thank you ahead of time for clarity of mind and the joy in our souls. I pray in the Name of Jesus for the following people and needs including my own… Thank you for hearing me and offering me the truth, the hope and the joy that is in You, Jesus. Amen.
