Robert Cavalier

Fr. Robert’s priestly call has its origin in an experience of the sacrament of Penance and its growth and continuation in movements in the church that have formed since the Second Vatican Council. He witnesses to the truth that all things are possible with God. The faith journey God has led him on is one of ongoing personal conversion and service to the people of God. Highlights will be shared that are out in the uniqueness of a French Catholic heritage in the New Orleans and bayou areas of Louisiana.

Fr. Robert Cavalier is a priest of the Archdiocese of New Orleans who has served in numerous parishes and other assignments for almost 52 years. He has taken an active role in many ministries throughout his vocation, Marriage Encounter, Pro-Life, Rachel’s Vineyard, Grace and Mercy Healing ministry, and Spiritual Direction, pilgrimages, and worked closely with Immaculee’ Libagiza and Kitty Cleveland in their perspective ministries.

Our Lady of Mepkin is his most dear image of our Blessed Mother which is in the Trappist monastery of the same name in South Carolina. Currently serving as resident chaplain for the Teresian Sisters in Covington, he is also chaplain of the Magnificat Chapter in Mandeville, LA.
