Reka Lashawn is a devoted mother of seven, a mentor, a teacher and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida by her mother who was sixteen at the time. Reka continued the cycle and gave birth to her first child at the age of sixteen. Reka is the founder of a local mentoring group called “The Wow Club”. The W.O.W Club is dedicated to help teenage women. The acronym W.O.W stands for “ Women of Worth”.
Reka holds an Associate of Science in Nursing from Edison State College. After graduation, Reka continued her education and achieved her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University. From then on she enrolled into South University to obtain her Masters Degree. As of right now, she is enrolled in South University in pursuit of her doctorates degree. Reka Lashawn is a clinical instructor in The Registered Nursing Program at a local state college. Aside from working and studying as a nurse, she is a sports mom to two of her awesome young athletes.
