Magnificat® Ministry presents Magnificat® Proclaims. In this episode, Deacon David Hockwalt shares how even the best-laid plans can lead to unexpected outcomes and how trusting God’s plan through change can lead to a more fulfilling life. Growing up in a Catholic family, Deacon David attended Catholic schools and colleges, but afterward, he fell away from the faith. Pursuing a successful career in television broadcasting in Washington, D.C. and then in Dallas, Texas, unexpected life events changed his course, leading him back to the faith and eventually to being ordained a deacon, where he has served at St. Francis of Assisi parish in La Quinta, California, since his ordination in 2012.
