Sandy Ourso
Sandy Ourso was born in Shreveport, LA, where she spent her early years. She attended Baptist church services every Sunday till she was 15 yrs. old. She received a wonderful foundation in her faith. The world’s cares lured her away from the boredom of church services. At the age of 20, she was a self-proclaimed agnostic. She married and moved to Dallas. For the next ten years, she lived her life according to the world’s definition. She had a great job. She was a newspaper reporter and editorial writer. She enjoyed an income that allowed her to satisfy every whim. She and her husband spent their spare time traveling, going to concerts, movies, and the theatre, dining at fine restaurants and partying with friends, and acquiring material possessions. At the age of thirty, after reading an interview with Francis Shaeffer, she began the pursuit of a new direction in her life. She was searching for answers, and God met her at a talk given by Schaeffer. The last statement he made changed her life and set her off on a Paul to Damascus experience. She rediscovered the stories of the bible and attended non- denominal churches again. She remarried after a divorce and had a child at the age of 43. You will be amazed by Sandy’s story of how she found her way to the Catholic Church.
