Magnificat Ministry Podcast: Testimony of Claire Gallagher

Explore the journey of Claire Gallagher, a consecrated virgin from New Orleans, and her path to following God's plan.Testimony of Claire Gallagher

Claire Gallagher is a consecrated virgin from the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Claire was born and raised in the New Orleans area in a devout Catholic family. She had many good role models, her own parents as well as, aunts and uncles. Like many little girls she had dreams of one day getting married, having a large family, and living in a home with a white picket fence. While attending college, she thought she found the perfect man, but she knew deep down it was not right.

Claire explains how her life took many unexpected turns and she received important life lessons that allowed her to listen more closely to God’s plan for her. She found that God uses everything, he led her through a process of ‘letting go’ enabling her to be open to a deeper relationship with him and the vocation to the consecrated life.

Her love for the youth and young adult ministry, teaching, and retreat ministry led to her involvement and years of experience nurturing the spiritual formation of others. She currently manages a project through the Loyola Institute for Ministry that provides spiritual enrichment for religious sisters and is the co-host of the podcast “Flourishing Sisterhood,” which highlights the unique stories of religious sisters in the south.

This testimony was given to the Marrero, Louisiana Chapter in August 2025. The recording is 44 minutes, 26seconds in length.

Testimony of Amanda Schneidau

Amanda Schneidau shares her faith-filled journey through grief, motherhood, caregiving, and ministry, trusting Christ through every joy and sorrow.Testimony of Amanda Schneidau

Listen to more Magnificat Ministry Testimonies.

Amanda was raised in Louisiana in strong Catholic family and is the 5th of 8 children. She attributes the gift of her own faith to her mother, who did everything with great love. Amanda’s life is a story of Christ calling her more deeply into His Sacred Heart and her struggle to trust Him with every facet of her own heart.

Amanda has been married to her husband, Thomas, for 20 years. Being from large families themselves, they were very open to life.

Unfortunately, Amanda suffered several miscarriages at the beginning of their marriage, but trusted God had a plan for each one of these beautiful souls. They preserved through their loss and grief. The Lord continued to bless them with children and are now raising six children, ages 4-16.

In the past year, she lost her father to an unknown illness, and it was difficult to watch him decline, but the families’ strong faith carried them through the difficult time and Amanda brought Jesus to her father weekly. Amanda’s beloved mother has battled Alzheimer’s for the past 10 years, and she has the privilege to care for her and their relationship continues to grow in a new light filled with peace.

Amanda is the Coordinator of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd at St. Margaret Mary School and was recently recognized as a formation leader by the U.S. Association of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. She is looking forward to passing on this beautiful work to more catechists.

Amanda’s favorite verse is “And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart.” -Luke 2:19

This testimony was given to the East St. Tammany/Slidell, Louisiana Chapter on January 2025. The recording is 40 minutes, 20 seconds in length.

Testimony of Joyce Papa

Testimony of Joyce Papa

Testimony of Joyce Papa

Given to: Albany, New York Chapter, May 2024

Joyce Papa has been married to her husband, Nick, for 53 years. She is a mother of 3 and grandmother of 5 and lives in Clifton Park, NY. Even though she had a great life, she felt this emptiness. She went through a great change in 1980. Joyce attended a Woman’s Aglow meeting and responded to an invitation to be prayed over to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. She was not sure what all that meant, but she was transformed and felt instantly healed from her past hurts. A few years later, she and her husband attended a Life in the Spirit Seminar, and her husband joined her in the quest to deepen their faith—strengthening their marriage in the process.

During the last 40 years, Joyce has found her joy in participating in several ministries and working alongside teens within the church. She loves going to Bible studies, healing services, healing conferences, and prayer meetings. Her love for the Lord and praying with people has played a big part in her life. She especially enjoys Bible study with her grandchildren, sharing how much God loves them and teaching scripture to them on family vacations.

Joyce’s favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11:

“For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

She opened her Bible to this scripture during a very dark time in her life, and it gave her hope in a time of utter despair. She has shared this scripture with many people in their time of need.

Joyce has been a member of St. Edward’s Pastoral Council for the past several years. She is also a standing member of the Advisory Board for the Albany Diocesan Catholic Charismatic Renewal since 1980. She participates in ministries such as serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Mary’s Ladies of the Knots Ministry, and sharing scripture and prayers during Hosanna Prayer Group.

Testimony of Lillian Rambacher

Testimony of Lillian Rambacher, Magnificat Ministry TestimoniesTestimony of Lillian Rambacher

Lillian resides in Canton, OH. She is a wife, mother of four, and grandmother of five. She and her husband, John, have been parishioners of North Canton St. Paul’s Church for 36 years and their children attended elementary school at St. Paul’s.

Her vocation as a Mercy Hospital cardiac nurse for nearly 40 years also became her ministry. In 2017, Lillian and her husband experienced a miraculous, lifesaving healing of their daughter, Leah and first grandchild, Jackson. The night before their daughter, Leah, was induced to deliver her child, Lillian gave her a rosary that became a lifeline to our Mother Mary.

Lillian shares how God and our Blessed Mother Mary mercifully interceded for Leah and her son, Jackson. At her most desperate, broken point, Lillian promised God and our Blessed Mother that she would bring Him followers one person at a time. If it had not

been for Jesus powerful healing, our Blessed Mothers intercession as they prayed the Rosary with their extended family and St. Charbel’s intercession, whom they prayed to due to their Lebanese heritage, they would not have seen the visible signs associated with trust, mercy and hope.

‘Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.’ Romans 12:12

The above verse shows us how we are to respond in various situations that we

face in life. Our hearts should be full of joy because we have hope in Christ.”

The testimony of Lillian Rambacher was given to the Stark County, OH Chapter in March 2024.

The recording is 42 min. 30 sec. in length.
