Wednesday WisdomEpisode 66–Wednesday Wisdom

‘The Working Woman Radio Show’ recently kicked off a new feature of the podcast called ‘Wednesday Wisdom’.

It’s a time when I ask my listeners to give me their feedback about a particular question, and then I read and share the wisdom that they gave me on the show.

But this December’s ‘Wednesday Wisdom’ will be a little different. The question’ for this month is ‘What are some life lessons that can be learned from 2020?’ and since this is the last show of the calendar year, I decided to share some of the personal wisdom I gleaned from my own observations and experiences, over the past year.

I want to share with you 12 life lessons that I have learned from this past year.

So let’s get started.

Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No to Take Control of Your Life

Often, Christians focus so much on being loving and unselfish that they forget their own limits and limitations. When confronted with their lack of boundaries, they ask:

– Can I set limits and still be a loving person?
– What are legitimate boundaries?
– What if someone is upset or hurt by my boundaries?
– How do I answer someone who wants my time, love, energy, or money?
– Aren’t boundaries selfish?
– Why do I feel guilty or afraid when I consider setting boundaries?

Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend offer biblically-based answers to these and other tough questions, showing us how to set healthy boundaries with our parents, spouses, children, friends, co-workers, and even ourselves.

Wednesday WisdomEpisode 60–Wednesday Wisdom for November

I’m excited to announce that ‘The Working Woman Radio Show’ is kicking off a new feature of the podcast called ‘Wednesday Wisdom’.

It’s a time when I ask my listeners to give me their feedback about a particular question, and then I read and share the wisdom that they gave me on the show on the third Wednesday of each month.

The idea behind this new segment is twofold. First, I am always looking for new ways to encourage and inspire my listeners. That’s what this show is all about.

Secondly, I want to make sure that I’m creating opportunities for my audience to engage with the show and to give meaningful feedback that will help others.

There is a wealth of knowledge out there and I realize that there is much wisdom with a multitude of counselors. The question for our first ‘Wednesday Wisdom’ segment is this:

What word of advice would you give a young woman entering the workforce?

I asked that question because there are many young women like my daughters who are entering the workforce and who need good sound advice that will help them navigate their way to success.

I was particularly interested in hearing from women aged 35+ since they have more experience in the workforce, and I am happy and excited to say that I got some really great responses, and as an extra bonus, I threw in some quotes from a few of my favorite celebs,  so I want to go ahead and share them with you, now.
