Testimony of Fr. Joseph Droessler. Fr. Joseph Droessler is a diocesan priest of Orange, well known for his charism of preaching and many other gifts of the Holy Spirit. He is a native of Orange County and the seventh of eight children. His priestly formation includes years of study at Mt. Saint Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD, and Mt. Angel Benedictine Abbey and Seminary in Oregon.

He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Orange in 1995. Fr, Joseph has a great love for Church history, particularly as seen through the eyes of her saints. His unique testimony will portray the Lord’s pursuit of him and his resistance and then surrender.

After one year in the college seminary, he left the seminary for a full decade; a year before finishing a degree from Loyola Law School, he attended a St. Ignatius retreat. During this retreat, he heard the hound of heaven calling him to the priesthood again. He knew the appointed time had come to respond. Forgoing a law career, he entered immediately into formation to the priestly vocation that had been in his heart since first grade.

He is well known for his charism of preaching and devotion to the Blessed Mother. A special priestly work of his is to enkindle in others a great love of the Catholic Church with the fullness of her magisterial teachings, tradition, and sacred liturgy.
