Mary Lou was a ‘military brat.’ Her family moved every three to four years. Her father was in the air force. Her mother was German, and her family spent much of her growing up years visiting her mother’s relatives in Germany. Mary Lou was raised Catholic, and her mother showed by example the reverence for the Church by their many visits to the Cathedrals all over Europe. Mary Lou was a middle child, shy and introverted. She married her college sweetheart, and they had five sons together. She became a television journalist and documentary producer bringing political and spiritual news to the forefront.

As a television reporter, Mary Lou was given an assignment to go to Medjugorje. The experience changed the trajectory of her life. She and her family have experienced intense spiritual warfare. She will explain as she shares a number of her sons’ various addictions.

She became a Drug Addiction Prevention Specialist and spokesperson. In 2020, Mary Lou was commissioned by the Archbishop as an Ecclesial Lay Minister as part of a graduate program at Notre Dame Seminary and she also has a master’s degree in Pastoral Leadership.

This testimony was given to the Marrero, LA, Chapter in June, 2022.
