On this two-part episode of the Understanding Catholicism Series, our presenter, James Seghers, discusses the Eucharist, the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, and Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians.

On Holy Thursday, Jesus knew he would depart from this world to the Father, and not wishing to leave his followers desolate, he gave us the sacrament of coming to us in the humble form of bread and wine as a testament to his unconditional love and mercy.

Jesus’ ardent love drives our Lord to be present in the thousands of tabernacles worldwide, where he patiently waits for our visits to embrace us in his eucharistic heart.

Through sighting historical and biblical evidence, James shares the meaning of Jesus’ real presence in the Eucharist and why the Eucharist is the summit of Christian life. He also debunks teachings against this fact, offering solid evidence disputing heretical mindsets.

This is the 10th Episode in the (20 Episode Series) of Understanding Catholicism.
