Suscipe

This prayer is from St. Ignatius of Loyola. It appears in week four of his Spiritual Exercises.  Suscipe means “receive” in Latin.

Why pray this prayer?

It helps us surrender all the “shoulds’ in our lives to God. We ask for his grace and strength to live our lives in the way it best serves him.

Another great podcast. I know pride is not a good thing, but what if it is for someone else? I gush with pride seeing people I love saying and doing great things. Today I gushed.

Thank you! I think it is okay to be proud of somoene else. We talk about the sin of pride when it is self-focused. Though I could imagaine it being sinful whenother focused, I think that is not what usually happens.
