Have you ever stopped to ask yourself, “How does God fill us with His presence today?” The Promise is the same today as it was when Jesus spoke with His disciples in the upper room after He was arrested, crucified, and resurrected.
Jesus made a promise to them that Father God would give them the gift of Holy Spirit. Can you imagine what those in the upper room must have been thinking as they waited for the promise Jesus told them about? They may be like many today who can relate to Acts 19:2, “The first thing he asked them was “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?” “No,” they replied. “We’ve not even heard of a holy spirit.”
And then, The Promise they had been waiting for arrived! Can you imagine the joy they experienced that day as they had a personal encountered with Holy Spirit! Can you imagine the overwhelming feeling of God’s tangible love they must have felt from Father God as Holy Spirit embraced everyone in the room?
