The Spirit of Offense with Dr. Carol Razza, Part Two

The Spirit of Offense with Dr. Carol Razza, Part Two

In this Episode of Some Women, Angela, Jackie, and Pat are joined by Dr. Carol Razza as they further discuss a spirit of offense: why we want it removed from our midst, how it endangers a community, family, work place, ministry, etc., the advantage to addressing it individually rather than letting it infect the community, and how to address it within Community.

Dr. Carol Razza was a full-time formation faculty member and professor at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, Florida.  She also serves on the Advisory Team for the International Magnificat Ministry and as the Regional Representative for Asia and Australia. Prior to accepting the position at the seminary, she had a full-time private psychotherapy practice for over 25 years.  She has written two books, Sonblock, How Christians Unknowingly Shield Themselves from God’s Grace and Parent Me Please, a book helping parents to parent their adolescent children. Carol has been called to bring the awareness of God’s Kingdom throughout the world as an international evangelist.  Carol has ministered throughout the U.S., Central America, the Caribbean, Canada, Europe, Africa and Asia.  She lives in the Father’s supernatural joy and encourages others to do the same.  Carol’s greatest blessings include her marriage to her husband Paul for over 50 years, their wonderful sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren.

Who were the women that followed Jesus and his disciples?  Why and how do we follow and serve Him today?  In this SOME WOMEN  podcast series, based on the Luke 8:1-3 reference to women who accompanied Jesus and His disciples,  Magnificat® presents a lively panel discussion, with occasional guest panelists, on issues relevant to women today.    Various topics such as growing in holiness, community, living a Holy Spirit lifestyle, Spiritual warfare, nurturing a prayer life, and more, will be considered in the light of Sacred Scripture and teachings of the Catholic Church.  Join us as we pray, learn, and experience what God can do in our lives if we let Him!

Founded in 1981, Magnificat®, A Ministry to Catholic Women, an international nonprofit with over 70 Chapters across the globe, exists to evangelize and encourage Catholic women to grow in holiness through opening more fully to the power and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. “My Soul Magnifies the Lord,” recorded in Luke 1:46, is the beginning of Mary’s response to Elizabeth’s joyful greeting. The entire scene of the Visitation is the inspiration for this Ministry. Through quarterly gatherings that include a Chapter Meal, praise and worship, guest speakers proclaiming their testimonies as to how God has transformed their lives, and other faith-sharing experiences organized in a relaxed social setting, women (and men) are inspired and encouraged to grow in faith through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Magnificat® is dedicated to Mary, the Mother of God, an image of the Church, and model for all Christians, especially women.  Visit: https://magnificat-ministry.org

Getting Out of the Boat – Dr. Carol Razza

Join Dr. Carol Razza in exploring the powerful message of Getting Out of the Boat and embracing God's transformative love.Getting out of the Boat with Dr. Carol Razza

In this powerful and Spirit-filled message, international evangelist Dr. Carol invites listeners into a deeper encounter with Jesus Christ and a renewed awareness of the Holy Spirit’s transforming power. Speaking from decades of ministry experience around the world, Dr. Carol shares that God is releasing a “tsunami” of living water—a fresh movement of renewal that is meant to refresh hearts, change lives, and ignite the Church once again.

Drawing from the Gospel account of Peter walking on water, she challenges believers to step out of their “boats” of fear, insecurity, and false identity and fix their eyes firmly on Jesus. Fear, she explains, grows when we focus on our circumstances rather than on God’s perfect love. Through personal stories, Scripture, and prophetic insight, Dr. Carol reminds us that our true identity is not defined by the world but by our baptism—we are beloved sons and daughters of the King.

Throughout the episode, listeners are encouraged to embrace vulnerability, surrender, and daily encounters with Christ. Dr. Carol emphasizes that Christianity is not merely a set of ideas or religious practices but a living relationship with Jesus, nourished especially through the Eucharist and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

She also shares remarkable testimonies from her missionary journeys in Africa and the Dominican Republic, illustrating how God equips His people with supernatural grace when they respond to His call. These stories serve as reminders that every believer has been gifted and commissioned to participate in God’s work of evangelization and transformation.

The message concludes with a powerful prayer of healing, deliverance, and renewal, inviting listeners to surrender every burden, allow the Holy Spirit to heal old wounds, and rekindle the gifts received through Baptism and Confirmation.

Key Takeaways:

  • God’s love casts out fear and reveals our true identity.
  • Encounters with Jesus are meant to happen daily.
  • The Holy Spirit is renewing the Church and calling believers into deeper faith.
  • We are invited to step out in courage, trust God’s voice, and become instruments of His love.
  • Through prayer, surrender, and the sacraments, God desires to bring healing, freedom, and transformation.

This episode is an inspiring call to leave behind fear and complacency and to enter fully into the adventure of walking with Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit and transformed by His love.

Dr. Carol Razza- Prayer Meeting

Discover Dr. Carol Razza’s powerful Prayer Meeting from the Rise & Walk Conference 2025. Learn how worship, identity in Christ, and the Holy Spirit transform believers into spiritually fruitful disciples.Episode 03 – Dr. Carol Razza – Prayer Meeting

In this powerful session, Dr. Carol Razza—international evangelist, author, and retired professor at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary—leads a traditional prayer meeting centered on reclaiming our identity as children of God. Moving beyond the “counseling session” model, Dr. Razza refocuses the gathering on pure worship, teaching that when we prioritize Jesus, our burdens and brokenness naturally fall away. She challenges the “spectator” mentality and calls every believer to step into a life of supernatural fruitfulness.

Key Takeaways

  • What a Prayer Meeting Is (and Isn’t): A prayer meeting is for Jesus, not for us. It is a time for praise, worship, and building up the Body of Christ—not a therapy or discussion group.
  • The Power of Identity: We are “1 in 600 billion.” Dr. Razza emphasizes that understanding our identity as sons and daughters of the Most High is the only way to live an abundant life. Without this, we praise God through our wounds rather than the truth.
  • Supernatural DNA: As baptized Christians, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. Our “natural” state should be the “supernatural.”
  • Spiritual Fruitfulness: Based on Genesis 1:28 and Matthew 25, we are created for increase. Dr. Razza argues that passivity is not an option; we must use our God-given gifts to glorify Him and expand the Kingdom.
  • Praying for the Priesthood: A call to action for the laity to pray for priests and seminarians to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, empowering them to lead the Church into “the deep.”

Scripture References

  • Joshua 3:4-5: “You have not passed this way before… Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”
  • John 20:21-22: “As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
  • Galatians 5:22-23: The Fruits of the Spirit.
  • John 15:16: “It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you to go forth and bear fruit.”
