Nicole candidly talks about the enormous physical and emotional strain hospital staffers deal with each day. She gives a bird’s eye view of what it is like to be on the frontlines of a pandemic. Nicole talks about the balancing act of serving the sick, but also protecting themselves. She also dispelled some of the myths about the virus, and shared ways that individuals can continue to protect themselves.

More About Nicole Bayne

Nicole Bayne is a registered nurse and works in the endoscopy department at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta Georgia. She graduated from Berry College and  started her nursing career at DeKalb Medical Center which is now called Emory-Decatur Hospital in 2011. When she’s not working, she enjoys taking dance classes and traveling abroad.

When you both work from home life can get a little crazy, but with the Coronavirus pandemic, couples working from home is the new normal.

For our family,  our daughter who is in college, is doing her coursework online from home, as well.

Although some of the states around the country, including Georgia where I live, are allowing businesses to open back up. However, the virus is still spreading, and people are still dying.  I don’t know about you, but our family plans to continue working from home for a while.  As I talk to people, I’m hearing that a lot of other people are planning on doing the same thing, so this is our new normal, at least for now.

With everyone working from home, there are bound to be, at least, a few problems, so I want to share some tips that can be used to make the experience less of a hardship on everybody.

Laura Durojaiye is the CEO of TransCart International. She is the inventor of the TransCart, a vehicle that provides a safe, efficient transportation experience for both nurses and patients. 

Laura has been in the healthcare business for nearly four decades. She started her healthcare career at the Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina. Shortly thereafter, she accepted a position as Administrative Coordinator at North Carolina Memorial Hospital. 

She then moved to Atlanta in 1979 to manage the Eye/Ear, Nose and Throat Outpatient Clinics at Grady Memorial Hospital.
